Do you feel you need some peace in your life? Some stillness in your mind? Perhaps you feel that something is missing, but you are not quite sure what it is? Or maybe you are looking for a deeper sense of fulfilment – to reveal some of your hidden potential?
Meditation is an ancient technique that helps us calm our mind and bring peace and poise in our actions. It helps us to love more, develop compassion in our being and to discover our life’s deeper purpose.
We are delighted to share our love of meditation with you so that you can learn this powerful practice and experience these benefits yourself. We offer regular meditation classes, workshops and concerts of spiritual music to help you achieve this goal.
The Sri Chinmoy Centre has been offering meditation classes in Bristol since 1984 and we have taught thousands of people how to meditate. All our events are free of charge as it was Sri Chinmoy’s belief that meditation is our universal birthright.
Learn How to Meditate!
Our classes cover a wide range of meditation techniques including mantra, focusing on the breath, creative visualisations as well as practical advice on setting up your own daily meditation routine. We also include performances of live spiritual music which people often find an easy way to meditate.
We do not offer drop-in sessions but rather a structured programme of 5 or 6 classes. In this way you can progress as part of a group. If you like our style of meditation and sincerely want to lead a more spiritual life then we also offer continuation classes where we teach you more about Sri Chinmoy’s path.
The aim of meditation is to uncover the peace, joy and divinity that we all have within us. That is why, at the request of our teacher Sri Chinmoy, we do not charge for these classes – we are only helping you to discover what you already have!
